[edit] Hunting

Cats and dogs can develop their Hunting skill by catching preys and finding collectibles, respectively.

[edit] Cats

Cats can catch the following preys: beetles, fish, birds, liards, snakes, turtles, and rodents. These animals can be kept as pets, released, eaten, or presented to a Sim.

In order to start developing this skill, a cat can "Practice Hunting" on cat toys.

At level 5, Sims can instruct their cats to "Go Catch Something."

At level 6, they can instruct them to catch a specific prey. However, cats won't always understand and they might bring an incorrect prey. The chance to bring what a Sim asked depends on the cat's Hunting skill level and whether it has the "Genius" or "Clueless" trait.

[edit] Challenges

  • Creeping And Crawling
    • A Creeping And Crawling expert has caught 20 Beetles. As a reward, the chance of catching and finding rarer Beetles is increased.
  • Feline Fisher
    • A Feline Fisher has caught 20 Fish. As a reward the chance of catching rarer fish is increased.
  • Homing Whiskers
    • Cats with Homing Whiskers have caught at least 20 rare prey. As a reward the amount of time it takes to find prey is decreased.
  • Slither Stalker
    • A Slither Stalker has caught 20 reptiles. As a reward lizards, snakes, and turtles will always succesfully be caught.

[edit] Dogs

Dogs can find gems, rocks, metals, and fragmented objects.

Sims can train dogs to learn the Hunting skill. Once dogs have learned this skill they can dig up dig spots and find collectibles. The rarity of the collectible depends on the dog's Hunting skill.

At level 5, Sims can command dogs to fetch a date for them.

[edit] Fragmented Objects

Dogs can find 4 types of fragmented objects:
