Here we can tell to the other members what we have already done, what we are going to do, what needs to be done.

Remember to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~), and possibly to start your comment with *three* tildes (i.e. Name only). My first tasks will be:

1) Study the Wiki format :P

2) Find a suitable layout for all our pages

3) Create a basic page structure where the members can put the result of their work.

And my first tasks will be:

1) Stop struggling with the Wiki features *doh!* and try my very best to write understandable English

2) Continuing TXMT-parameter understanding (use/ in game behaviour/ whatever else is required)

3) Re-write the intro analogy (pixelhate's feedback and ideas are welcome =) )

4) Thinking about a way to translate everything (including cross linking) as the Wiki is "English only" area
...if succesful write the analogy again in German ;)
*thinking* Front Page or else for preparing HTML sites? Would be a nice download-feature, too (offline browsing the encyclopedia, no further webspace required) and not too complicated to copy the spreadsheed- data... Opinions?

As for the translation, this can be manually done, by creating "mirror-pages" (for instance: ...\TXMT will be ...\TXMT-de) and then translating each page (and editing all the links embedded in it). It seems a huge work, also because "someone" :) should keep track of the changes in each English page and edit the German pages accordingly. The same apply to the HTML version: per se, it's a good idea, but it will never be as updated as the actual wiki pages, unless that "someone" continuously verifies the wiki pages and edit the HTML version accordingly.

PS: we should also check if *this* wiki can contain non-English pages. I don't know.

Yes, it can contain non-English pages. I can setup seperate namespaces or a subdomain similar to Wikipedia (ie the en.wikipedia, de.wikipedia etc). Delphy 09:15, 15 November 2006 (EST)

Cool! So the language support can be solved within the Wiki (hehehe) and we can have a French and German translation - someone else interested? Spanish or whatever else? (@ Numenor: it's just easier to follow the content when you don't have to translate it at once but you immediately understand the words and meaning - and that's why even an Italian translation for SimPe was written ;) :P )

(@ Delphy, too) If I understand the Wiki stuff correctly I would have to add every TXMT-page to my watchlist to check for updates and check "Recent Changes" again and again, right? I mean, it's no prob to me to be this "someone" who updates the de.-part (yes, my German is slightly better than my English) but as this checking again and again is quite complicated may I suggest (I don't know if there is an easy solution for probs like that already available, Wikipedia or else) that "somehow" (maybe an auto-PM or an info included in the Edit-window with a link, whatever to inform the translating guys about changes) the one or more someones per language who agreed in supporting and updating are informed about updates in the main pages so "someones" have to update, too.

Mirror-pages are great and definately easier than updating a whole html-folder - though as soon as the site exists it's just a case of copy&paste. I don't know yet if I'll start it for myself but in this case I can offer the html version which I'll update with copy&paste whenever it's required... maybe I'll upload it to www.simforum.de *muahahahar* (serious: a thread which informs tutorial-searching ones at MTS2 might be helpful for them to find the TXMT stuff in here and of course it would make sense if Numenor is the one who starts this thread (your name is a kind of 'quality-sign' =) )

If you watch a page it'll be added to the "My Watchlist" at the top which lets you see easily those pages you are, well, watching... Delphy 15:28, 15 November 2006 (EST)

Khaibit

LOL I guess this was a mixture of strange Wiki feature-struggling and "Khaibit English" (which is only understood correctly by Khaibits and Khefts) so hopefully adding tons of pages to the watchlist - what I already started, that's why I asked this question - will help noticing changes without watching the watchlist for hours because of well, strange Wiki features - an 'easy for creators and translators to use' feature is impossible - or was I impossible to follow again? Will watching the watchlist to try and find an answer ;)

Finally, the slow niol is here! He just realised where the discussion is! So, let's laugh at him... (mwah..ha...ha...) Is this the right way to add my talk here? I've alrady started to add more instances for the material types in that thread's discussion/talk... niol 12:37, 16 November 2006 (EST)

Maybe you should think about your definition about "user groups" again (it was a big laugh!) and - as Delphy tried to explain the obvious to me I'll do the same to you "If you watch a page it'll be added to the "My Watchlist" at the top which lets you see easily those pages you are, well, watching..." so add this page to your watchlist and you can... watch it, even for changes :D BTW, I found your's by watching the Recent Changes ;) Not bad for a dummy, isn't it? *proud as punch*

I found out that the font size is increaseable (? does this word exist?) via percent values, background color isn't changeable but some possibilities with html/css coding are possible (didn't try the differences of table/spreadsheet support for Wiki and alternatives and else yet) - does this help somehow for an unique layout of the TXMT sites? *the dummy asks* :D (this definition is either a reason to die of laughter or to be really offended, niol - I decided to laugh of course :D)

Khaibit 15:36, 16 November 2006 (EST)

embarassed to fly...!:

No need to worry about whether that word have existed before, just create it if not...! Lol, how to create a page? --niol 23:42, 16 November 2006 (EST)

Pixelhate Ok I've just found the place where it's all happening! and testing it ! why are there names in red and other in blue? Pixelhate 19:57, 20 November 2006 (EST)PixelHate

Those in blue have made thier own User pages. Those in red haven't. Delphy 20:01, 20 November 2006 (EST)
