Nectar Making

Does your sim have a knack for cooking or trying new things? Or do they want to try a traditional French activity? Then Nectar making is for you!

Starting Out

When you first start out on this skill, head down to Champs Les Sims in France. First you must find the Nectary and buy a Nectar Maker off the vendor for $1,500. If you need racks, they are found under the build menu in Storage. Apart from the nectar maker, the most important part of nectar making is the fruit! One of the most common fruits for nectar is grapes. There are many varieties of grapes and most can be found in the Nectary garden. There are also grapes available from the vendor and plants can be found around France.

Making Nectar

To be more successful in nectar making, having your Nectar Maker in a basement is recommended. To start making nectar, click on the Nectar Maker and select 'Add fruit'. You need 10 fruits to make nectar successfully and it will taste even better if you use more than one fruit. You can now select the 'Make Nectar' option and your sim will begin to stomp on the fruit to make the nectar. When you're finished making the nectar you are told how it tastes and then you may name it. After that you can store it on your rack for later use.

Three levels of instructional books can also be purchased in the marketplace in France.

Nectar Aging

Depending on how long your nectar is stored, it can go up in 7-10% each day. So the longer you store it, the more money you can earn!

Nectar Making Challenges

There are several Nectar Making challenges to complete so your sim can earn new rewards!

• Master of Nectar Making- After making 200 bottles of nectar your sim can make an extra bottle for each batch.

• Mix Master- After completing 15 combinations of fruit which allows you to see the outcome of fruit you combine.

• Flavorful Feet- After stomping through 40 bins of fruit, the value of your nectar increases.
