What you need to install content

Pre-requisites

1. The game: you need the base game for sure, plus any expansion pack or stuff pack as indicated in the custom content's requirements
2. Verified that the game version(s) of the CC is compatible with your installed game version(s)
3. Plenty of harddisk space, of course.
4. Most importantly, the custom content you want installed.
5. To download the files from ModTheSims linked in this FAQ, you need to have an account at ModTheSims.

6. An archiver program (7Zip, WinRar, or StuffIt) to extract files with.
7. The Framework Installer tool or the Resource.cfg file that make up the framework, if you want to install framework manually.
