Details
Parsimonious is a farily large site, containing content for both sims 1 and 2. For sims 2, they offer furniture in all categories, houses, walls, floors, terrain paints, clothing, make-up, and genetics, both meshes and recolors. They also host special events and finds.
Terms of Use
Generally if you want to use the items as part of a new download you are making, like using a dress as part of a complete Sim or using furniture or walls in a house then that is Ok to use them and include them with appropriate credit. Different items have different policies so please see below for details.
Houses
Houses are not allowed to be re-distributed in any way - this includes using the house as base for your own published creations, re-modelling or re-furnishing the house for re-publication is NOT acceptable.
Sims 2 Skins
You can use the Skins items as part of a Complete Sim download provided that the Complete Sim Download must be FREE, and that you give credit as a link back to Parsimonious by the download.
Skins Meshes
Parsimonious meshes can be used for your own skins creations with the following terms:
- The mesh can be included in your download zip as long as a link to Parsimonious is given by the download
- If you choose not to include the mesh with your download please link to http://www.parsimonious.org/fashion2/meshes.shtml & state the mesh name so your visitors can find it easily (do not link directly to the zips)
Please do NOT include a read-me file for our meshes.
Parsimonious Sims 2 Skins meshes can be re-used for subscription or 'donation' downloads provided the above terms are met.
Furniture
You can use ANY items from the Sims 2 Objects Section as part of a House download provided that the house download must be FREE and that you give credit as a link back to Parsimonious by the download.
Additionally, any new mesh object OR Maxis object recolour made by Kate can be re-used for subscription or 'donation' downloads provided the above terms are met. This does NOT include clones OR recolours of other off-site new mesh objects.
Parsimonious Sims 2 new mesh objects can be cloned or recoloured with the following terms:
- The original base mesh object may be included in your download zip as long as a link back to Parsimonious is given by the download
- If you choose not to include the mesh with your download please link to the PAGE that the original item appears on (do not link directly to our zips)
Please do NOT include a read-me file for our object meshes.
Additionally, any new mesh object made by Kate can be re-used for subscription or 'donation' downloads provided the above terms are met. This does not include clones OR recolours of other off-site new mesh objects (external credit will be listed by the single item download where this applies)
Walls and Floors
You can use Parsimonious walls, floors or terrain paints in your Houses provided that the house download must be FREE and that you give credit as a link back to Parsimonious by the download.
Additionally, any wall, floor or ground cover made by Kate can be included in a house download on a subscription website or as part of a 'donation' download with credit as described above
