Casual Groups

How can I get my kids/family to do stuff (e.g. eat with me) downtown? -- What are casual groups?

So you've taken the kids or your partner down town, you get seated in a restaurant because you're hungry but you can't get the kids to join you no matter what you try.

The solution? Form a casual group.

Before you ask to be seated, click the Sims you want to eat with, click Ask... To Form Casual Group. At this point you have two options:

  • Just for Fun: This is just to create a group and they'll do stuff together
  • For an outing: This is treated as a sort of date, with a bar telling you how well things are going.

You can click other Sims you've invited to join the group. Once the group is formed, you can be seated to eat, or go dance or anything, and they will all follow.

Click on your Sim for group maintenance (gather group, end group), or if you just want rid of one group member, click on them, then Ask, then "To leave casual group"
