[edit] Water in Basement

[edit] Problem

Houses with basements have what appears to be a flooded basement - a layer of blue water that fills the basement to a certain level, but does not otherwise effect gameplay.

[edit] Solution

This problem occurs in neighborhoods with a low land level in comparison to the water - a combination of low land and a high water table, basically. It often happens in Riverblossom Hills and other neighborhoods with water plus low land.

The only real solutions are:

  • Move lots with basements to higher ground, where they will not intersect the neighborhood's water plane.
  • Use lots with no basements on those lower areas where basements tend to be filled with water.
  • Use a neighborhood with higher land in comparison to the water level.
