I can't place the object where the tutorial asks me to!

This may be because you may be required to use the "MoveObjects On" cheat, simply enter that in and you should be able to place the object whereever the tutorials asks, to turn it off just change the On for Off.

Why is my house wierd heights and angles?

This would be improper use of the CFE cheat, you need to do a bit more research into using CFE, a good section to begin that will teach you a lot about it is split levelling:

Why won't it let me go under 4 clicks?

To get a wall to go under 4 clicks tall you need to use a special technique, this is very advanced and complicated, if you wish to try this then you can use this video tutorial by QBUILDERZ on how to do wall height reduction under 4 clicks:
