To clarify on optomization:

First the picture has to be between 800 x 600 pixels to 1280 x 1024 pixels. To do this you need to do an image resize to reduce the pixels to fall within the limitations. NEVER increase the size. Also watch so that when you are cropping pictures that they stay within the guidelines.

Secondly the kb (kilobyte) size can be increased up to 250 and increases the quality of the picture. (This is done in photoshop (5.0) when you save the image with a jpeg extention...just move the slider to the right to bring as close to the 250 as possible.
