Conceptual Tutorials
These are the basic building concepts of modular stairs. Although the smallest presently-known unit of connecting/modular stairs is 1-step or 1-click-high in terms of the elevation tools, these stairs can be >=1-step or >=1-click-high. Yet, 1-step can form but in a sims-access test is dysfunctional, so 2-step is the smallest functional instance. (May check out Tutorial more property-infos for connecting/modular stairs @ Related Pages). To decide the number of steps, shape the floor layers' heights. <ncl>Category:Build Mode Stairs Concepts Tutorials</ncl>
Typical Stair Types
The shapes of the stairs are dependent on the shapes of both the connecting/modular stairs and the landings. So, the number of landings won't limit the shapes of the resultant stair's shapes completely. <ncl>Category:Build Mode Stairs Typical-types Tutorials</ncl>

Stealth-stairs Types
Stealth stairs can be used in many ways for fast level access for sims. it can be a shortened version of a typical stair or combine with walls and wallpapers to form lift/elevators. V1ND1CARE and Frillen have used "burial" stealth stair in which the stealth stair is buried under the ground. The basic principle is that connecting/modular stairs can have their position fixated once made. On the other hand, those stealth stairs made up in the air are called "aerial" stealth stairs.

Floor-tile-based Stairs
Floor-tile-based stairs depend on the fact that sims can walk past the floor tiles regardless of how deformed the floor grid layer is, they just can reach anywhere tiled. Ralphael used this feature to make "lift/elevator". SimSherry used it to make inclined stairs.
