Tutorials Talk:Changing Lot Pictures

Okay, I'd set this as a level 3 tutorial, since it requires SimPE knowledge, and also as an Infobit, however I need to explain how the system works.

Essentially, the actual tutorials themselves are not added to the "Level X tutorials" or the specific section they are in, but should only be a member of the Sims 2 Tutorials section.

Instead, what you do is create another page and prefix it: - "Level X - " prefix, with a redirect to the original page, put in section category (ie SimPE tutorials, or whatever) - "Sections - " prefix (ie Build Mode, Infobits, etc, with a redirect to the original page, put in level category.

This way the actual category pages get sorted by type of tutorial - all Level 1s are grouped, all Build Mode tutorials are grouped. It makes it a lot easier for new members to browse through.

Thanks for the explanation & for setting this page up properly giving another example to follow. Ultimately, what will be the procedure for provision of tutorails, i.e, will everyone be encouraged to submit tutorials that can then be accepted/rejected and if accepted categorized by those more familiar with the site content? This is probably middle ground where content control is concerned. --Tatiana 07:32, 30 July 2006 (EDT)

Request for Delete

This article has been moved to Tutorials:Changing Lot Pictures. There already is a redirect from Infobits - Changing Lot Pictures as well so this particular article is redundant. Tatiana

To answer my own question, I now realize that there are a number of external links to this original page and a deletion would cause problems with them. I have removed the request for delete. --Tatiana 08:16, 25 February 2007 (CST)
